Attendance Administrator

17.5 hours per week (8.30 am – 12.00 pm daily), term-time only
Salary: Single Status Grade 4, Points 9 – 10 (£18,426 - £18,795) per annum, pro-rata
Required as soon as possible

We are seeking a highly organised, forward thinking individual to join our attendance team. You will provide attendance administrative support to our Senior Student Support Leader for Attendance and Safeguarding.

Duties will include operating the College’s SIMS attendance computer module; communicating with parents; updating attendance spreadsheets; following up unexplained absences, this includes daily phone calls to parents/guardians; word processing of school documentation to a high standard using a variety of applications including SIMS, Word and Excel; producing reports of attendance data; organising meetings and liaising with parents/guardians and other external agencies and general office duties.

SIMS experience desirable but not essential as training will be given.

Teacher of Maths

Full time or 0.6 contract; TMS/UPS
Required from April 2020

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Maths teacher to join Robertsbridge Community College.

The Mathematics department is high achieving, innovative and enthusiastic. Under the visionary leadership of the Head of Department, GCSE results for the last two years have been consistently very high 70+% at 9-4 and 50%+at 9-5 putting the department in the highest  percentiles for  progress measures.  The department’s success has been recognised nationally and there are many opportunities for career development in this forward thinking and high achieving College. The ability to teach mathematics across both Key Stage 3 and 4 is essential.

Visited by Ofsted in February 2017, the College maintained its ‘Good’ status, with the official report stating the following; “New teachers feel very well supported and all staff value the helpful opportunities for professional development in a culture of encouragement.”

Exam Invigilators

Claims only; term time only
Grade 4, Point 8: £18,426 (pro rata - equivalent £9.55 ph)

We are seeking to appoint a number of exam invigilators to participate in conducting external and mock exams ensuring all regulatory requirements are upheld.  Duties may include setting out for the exam process, monitoring exams either in a large group or individually, working as a scribe/reader, complying with all statutory policies related to the role.

Candidates need to have good accuracy skills and attention to detail.  The ability to communicate with students and staff clearly and to keep calm under pressure. 

Whilst this role is a casual contract, flexibility and availability between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm is required.  Candidates need to be reliable and punctual with good written and verbal communication skills.  

No experience is required as full training will be given, however experience of working with young people would be an advantage.
